CORPUS CHRISTI SHARING PARTY - 2

Antoni BigCuore *

                   THE EUCHARIST IS
 GOD'S LOVE MIRACLE

We, Catholic Christians, in the liturgical calendar, today celebrate the feast of "Corpus Christi," the body of God. It is the party of the institution of the Holy Eucharist, instituted by Jesus himself, at the Last Supper.

In Genesis 14 - 18-20, we read: "In those days, Melchizedek, king of Salem brought out bread and wine, as a priest of God Most High, he blessed Abram, saying," Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and from the earth! Blessed be the Most High God, who delivered your enemies into your hand! "And Abram gave him a tenth of everything."Jesus said, I "am the living bread come down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever. "

For Catholic Christians we, the Eucharist we celebrate almost every day of the week through the masses, is the body, blood, soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ! The host when unconsecrated is just flour. But when consecrated by a priest ordained, faithfully prepared for it, it is transformed into the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ! This is a mystery of faith !.

The Eucharist was prefigured in various Bible passages. One of the most notable is the above reported in Genesis 14, 18-20. In Luke 9, 11-17, the disciples concerned with feeding 5,000 people and Jesus with only five loaves and two fish, fed them and even twelve baskets left over.It is the body of God, the only food that truly satisfies human hunger for love and dignity! The Eucharist is the true thanksgiving, according to the Greek origin of the word. We thank God for the gift of our lives and all that He created. It is the synthesis and summit of the Christian Catholic Christianity !.

In Luke's Gospel, 22 19 to 20, the Master says: "And he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and handed it to them, saying. "THIS IS MY BODY WHICH IS GIVEN FOR YOU. THIS IN MY MEMORY do. " And, after eating, did the same with the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you." (1)

Notice that Jesus does not say, it was or it will be, he says, "IE", the verb to be, third person present indicative. This is to make clear that God is always THIS !. He has no past and no future, it just "is"! He is God with us, or walk US forever. Never abandons us! We trust as these words of Luke 22.

John says in his First Letter, chapter 4, verse 16: "God is Love: whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him." ( two )

When we share God's body, in the celebrations of Holy Mass daily, we are communing love, anointing of God in us, strength, energy, peace, everything that comes from God. And after we left the temple, we have a moral obligation to share with the brothers, love, solidarity, affection, education, friendship, everything that it stands for Christians.

This is it!. Happy celebration of the Day of Corpus Christi !!! The peace of the Lord Jesus, always dwells in their hearts !.

DAY OF PRAYER: "Lord Jesus Christ in this wonderful sacrament in forsaken the memorial of your passion. Give us venerate with such love the mystery of your body and your blood, which can continuously reap the fruits of your redemption. You who are God the Father, in the Unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen".
