Much is said about the disease without consistency of the last century and continues in the new millennium: the ill-fated depression.
Many people believe that depression is a state of deep sadness is evidence that depression is a myth is considered today by the World Health Organization, as a disease. To get an idea, it affects 16% of world population, about 900 million people. Their most frequent victims are women, about two by one. In Brazil, from 1999, came to be regarded with disease.

The main triggers of depression are:
A)
Organic factors: depression is primarily a problem of brain chemistry, or an inadequacy in the neurotransmitters of the human brain. Its main neurotransmitter called serotonin (hormone mood and well-being) which has a specific function to communicate between nerve cells, called synapses. When your level (serotonin) in the brain very low, it leads to such spoken depression. The person is completely powerless, discouraged, have loss of appetite, nothing motivates, have insomnia, high anxiety, etc..

B) Main symptoms of depression, discouragement, anxiety, loss of appetite, lassitude, insomnia, high anxiety, tense muscles typically, the person does not even feel comfortable praying, nothing motivates.
Highlights to note that one of the main factors that lead a person to depression is stress. This indeed is the great enemy of modern man. It causes an imbalance in the brain chemistry, the level of neuro-transmissosres (serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline, etc.), apart from causing depression, endogenous other imbalances.
It causes the body to a state of low immunity, which, in practice, and creates negative conditions conducive to the emergence of diseases.

C) Socio-cultural factors: parental loss in childhood, emotional stress, weather conditions, sentimental and family conflict, pollution, lack of career prospects (unemployment) and financial problems etc..
Modern life is extremely conducive to the emergence of diseases of emotional origin. Mental conflicts unresolved lead one to somatize, ie, the body functions as a sort of mattress pad of emotions. An entire social context very difficult, especially for low-income people, creates favorable conditions for the emergence of a range of diseases called psycho-somatic.

D) Therapy: For the situation outlined in item A, it is imperative to treatment with expert professional, which will correct such distortion prescribing medicines called gender, anti-depressants. In my opinion, however, the best natural anti-depressant that is, is the call that the brain releases endorphins after exercise. Walking, swimming, sports in general. Food rich in amino acid called "Tryptophan", such as chickpeas, turkey meat, milk and dairy products, salmon, wheat germ, egg, dates etc.etc. By way of information, we mentioned that tryptophan is an amino acid essential for the formation of the main neurotransmitter serotonin in our brain. Tryptophan in the brain serotonin turns. Serotonin is responsible for good mood, relaxation and prevents depression.

D) Vitamins and minerals

More or less recent research, has recommended that the vitamin B complex, especially the B-1, B-6, B-12, B-9 (folic acid) plus 5HTP. Hydroxytryptophan, form a good set help fight depression. This formula can be taken together with antidepressant thus acting synergistically, quite satisfactory.
Tryptophan is not regarded with antidepressant medication. And relieves anxiety and does not harm health, provided, of course, that the dosage is reasonable.
Consult your nutritionist or doctor.

I personally, take the following preventive dose given by my doctor (not a medicine, so the simple recipe is not retained by the pharmacy. I do in compounding pharmacy because the pharmacy does not exist these conventional drugs combined. (At least I do not know if it exists).

5HTP (hydroxytryptophan) .......................... 30 mg
B-6 (pyridoxine) ....................................... 50 mg
Folic acid (B-9) .................................... 4 mg

Since my intellectual activity are essentially the brain with time, has need of such vitamins and minerals in order to function properly.
Consult your doctor about this possibility.

It is imperative also to the success of fighting depression, very supportive family. The person in this circumstance, tends to isolate and it's not good. One of the main factors for the recovery, is the depression called "to fit in". Isolation only exacerbates the disease!. He must interact with the group of friends, church, club, school etc.. Finally, it should look as much socializing as possible.

Another important factor is the Eucharist. The spiritual factor is the most important of all. Ask, with great faith, the God who heals. He is an inexhaustible source of positive energy. Take the opportunity to exercise your ability to FORGIVE. So, you're introducing yourself in (a) the anti-spiritual bodies that will need major improvement in your immune system.

Relevant Exercise: The exercise always helps to improve too much the health of the patient. The power must also be balanced. Indeed, the combination of factors, spiritual, physical and emotional, is that they generate the conditions for improvement of the patient. It is my thesis of the three factors, which I call the homeostatic balance of Personality. The three factors harmonized, results in the balance of personality, in happiness, in short. (Read in my book, The Health of Soul and Body.
