"Woman, behold Your Child" (John 19, 25-27)

Yesterday was the celebration of 166 years of the apparition of Our Lady of La Salette in the French Alps, on September 19, 1846.In Sanctuary in his honor, in Sao Paulo, Eucharistic celebrations were practically the entire day. In fact, the whole month is full of spirituality (novena, lectures etc.) and religious culture, with bazaar and animations.

I take this opportunity to reflect on chapter 19, verses 25 to 27, the Gospel of John, which reads: "The mother of Jesus, his mother's sister, Mary of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene was at the cross. Jesus saw his mother and, beside it, the disciple whom he loved."Then he said to his mother:" Woman, behold YOUR CHILD. " Then he said to the disciple, "Behold your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home. "(1)

If the disciple is John the Evangelist Jesus makes it clear to them that what your mother is, He delivers to humanity! As Mother and disciple of Him and the entire human race!.Unfortunately, many of our separated brethren have no clear perception of what it represents.Note well that most disciples disbanded for fear of the Pharisees and the Roman authorities. Who was at the foot of the cross? Three (3) WOMEN (you see the importance of them!): His mother, Mary of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene, from whom He the Master, 7 seven demons cast out.

Says Pauline exegete, Joseph Bertolini in ropadé note referring to the text quoted above, page 1383: "The Mother of Jesus is here the people of the old covenant which remained faithful to the promises and hopes for the savior. And the beloved disciple is the new people of God, composed of all who give their adherence to Jesus. In the mother-child relationship, the evangelist shows the unity and continuation of God's people, faithful to the promise and heir of its realization. " (2)

So who loves Jesus, can not, under any circumstances, and HATE reject your Mother Most Pure! It is simply a matter of intelligence and consistency! 'Clearly, exaggerations aside, the Mother of Jesus is no goddess, but in the celestial hierarchy, after the Holy Trinity (God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit), she's next.Mother's heart! And religion is essentially feeling, heart ...It is reason, too, of course. But the messages of the Master Jesus, are always full of COMPASSION, SHARE, LOVE, PEACE, JOY AND SOLIDARITY!

(Paul says, "Rejoice, rejoice in the Lord" ...)Mother, always a mother! THIS always in your children's lives! So let's love more our Mother and the Mother of God!Hail Mary Most Pure! Conceived without sin!Blessings of health, peace, prosperity, harmony and plenty of light in their hearts! The God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen!(1) Bible Pauline, pastoral edition, year 1989. pg. 1383(2) - Ditto
