Let us meditate on the Word of God for today. Gospel according to John, chapter 20, 19 or Luke 24, 13-35.

We read in Matthew 28: "After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the grave. Suddenly there was a great earthquake: the angel of the LORD (my emphasis) came down from heaven, and came and removed the stone, and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his garments were as white as snow. 5. Then the Angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here. RUSSED AS HAVING SAID! "(1)

In the Gospel according to Mark, chapter 16, 1, says: "When the Sabbath passed, Mary Magdalene, Mary the Mother of James and Salome, bought perfumes to anoint the body of Jesus." (2) (my emphasis)

A. BIGCUORE'S REFLECTION: The cross of Christ is truly a paradox. By the logic of the world, at that moment of crucifixion, Jesus was a failure, for death on the cross was the vilest form that a human being could be killed.

What strikes us is that Jesus was always surrounded by women who were his disciples. At the foot of the cross were Mary Most Holy, her Mother, Mary of Cleopas and Mary Magdalene. While visiting the tomb, 3 women were also present: Mary Magdalene, Mary Mother of James and Salome. I imagine that the Master had a special attention to them, given that, especially at that time, women were over-discriminated by Jewish sexist society.

Number three was no accident. In the Bible, it is an emblematic number, meaning for us Catholic Christians, the Creator Father, the Son Jesus Christ the Word (Word) and the Divine Holy Spirit Paraclete, promised to his disciples by Jesus himself, at the end of his mission.
Just as, the number seven (7) represents the FULLNESS, the perfect number!

The angel of the Lord exhorts them to proclaim this feat to the other disciples of Jesus. Nevertheless they were very afraid, and they ran to tell the disciples, as the angel commanded them.
The verse says the verse 9 "Suddenly Jesus went to meet them and said," CHEER! " The women approached, and knelt before Jesus, embracing his feet. And he exhorted them to warn their "brethren" to go to Galilee, where they could see Jesus.

Paul, the great Apostle of Jesus, says that if he did not rise, our faith is vain! In fact, Jesus would have been somebody, if all had ended up in the damn wood! But then Jesus reveals Himself FULLY; it is in his resurrection that he overcomes death and overcomes the cross itself.

CHRIST RESUSCITED, ALELUIA !!! HE WINS AND WINS DEATH!

And also the great significance of the Resurrection of the Master Jesus, is to demonstrate that also, we, His disciples, are going to all rise again, as He Himself promised us. "Whoever eats my body and drinks my blood, I will raise him up at the last day."

He's Emanoel, GOD WITH US! God, since the ancient prophets, is a God who walks with the people. He never abandons his people!
God is Faithful!. He is infinitely merciful, always ready to forgive us and give us for us. Alas, it is in the Holy Eucharist every day, in the Tabernacles of the whole world, He immolates and gives Himself (albeit in a non-cruel way), in a sacrifice of praise for our salvation !.

Synthesizing: in order to LOVE, you must go to God's Encounter! And how do you meet God? In the visit to the sick; in the prayerful reading of His word, the so-called "Divine Lectivo"; in contact with the poor and helpless of society and, especially, in the Holy Eucharist.

My brother and sister, may the Risen Christ always reign in your heart; that you make His Tabernacle alive! He has conquered death! He will never die !. He is God who walks with us. Happy and Holy Easter to all!
