REFLECTION ON THE GOSPEL ON SUNDAY, 2.015/08/09

Proclamation of the Gospel (Jn 6.41 to 51)"At that time, 41os Jews began to grumble about Jesus because he had said:" I am the bread that came down from heaven. "42Eles commented: "Is this not Jesus the son of Joseph? We know his father and mother? How then can say that came down from heaven? "
43Jesus replied, "Murmur not among yourselves. 44Ninguém can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him on the last day. 45Está written in the prophets: 'They will all be taught by God.' Now, anyone who heard the Father, and he was instructed, come to me. 46Não that anyone has seen the Father. Only the one who comes from God has seen the Father. 47In fact, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.
48.I am the bread of life. 49. Yours fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and yet died. 50. here is the bread which cometh down from heaven; whoever eats it shall never die. 51. I am the living bread come down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever. And the bread that I will give is my flesh given for the life of the world ".LECTIO DIVINA - prayerful reading of the Word of God. To make effective use of the Word of God, mister you do the following steps:
01. Read the text several times. 02. Meditate text. 03. Contemplate the scenario in which it occurs. 04. Prayer. 05. compromising Action.
These are the five steps, according to Catholic theologians, are required for a good use and power contextualize the text message.

SCENARIO: Many of the Jews, as always, were murmuring and disputing the Master's teachings. In the Old Testament, in the book of Exodus, the revolt of the people in Massa and Meribah, along with Moses, serves as the murmuring of example that the people made against God.Ask, how can he not the carpenter's son? His mother is not Maria? . Note clearly PREJUDICE that the scribes had about Jesus and his teachings. He, like soi happen, was teaching. Jews could ever imagine that your body (of Jesus) was to be eaten. Of course they that murmured NOT UNDERSTAND ANY OF THE SAID MASTER !.
The Master Jesus used a metaphor to speak of the Holy Eucharist. He really gave their meat on the cross but, at the Last Supper (Luke 22: 14-20): "19Isto is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me ". "20.Depois supper, Jesus did the same with the cup, saying," This cup is the New Covenant (emphasis mine) of my blood, which is shed for you. ". (1) Bible Pauline, pg.1.345
In Catholic Christian liturgy, the President of Celebration (Father, Bishop or Pope), establishes the Hosts (made of flour) and, after that act, they (hosts) become the BODY, BLOOD AND SOUL AND OUR LORD DEITY JESUS CHRIST!. This for us Catholic Christians, is a mystery of faith !.(misterium fidei).
This is a very practical way to do what the Master recommended. "My body is truly a food and my blood is drink indeed." (Our evangelical brethren, use bread as a wafer, which in practice has the same meaning of the Holy Eucharist).
The text also refers to the idea of faith. If the person receiving Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, do not have faith, nothing will advance him to eat the wafer. But for those who really have FAITH, know that there is realized daily in all the Catholic Christian churches in the world, UPDATE THE LAST SUPPER, as the Gospel of Jesus, 22, quoted above.
The Eucharist, from the Greek, means thanksgiving. The Mass is not only the cross of character, sacrifice, but rather the idea of feast. A kind of foreshadowing of what will be in our resurrection. God gives FULLY in the Holy Eucharist !. It is the miracle of everyday life, for God is FOREVER THIS !. He has no past and no future, God is.! He is pure and eternal presence!
GROUP DISCUSSION what Christians we are doing concretely to SHARE not only the Eucharistic bread, but the bread material, with our neighbors?
We will always give good witness to the discipleship of the Master, to others, or give counter-witness (bad example) to our brothers of the community and society in general?
Our Faith is essentially individualistic? Or seek to sow other good seed of the Gospel?
How concretely live the word of God today?
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, in the name of your Son Jesus Christ, we put ourselves now in your presence, to praise Thee, bless thee and to worship Thee, particularly to thank the gift of our lives. That we Christians can always set a good example, good witness to Your Gospel, so that others can also enjoy your blessings.
Let your flesh and your blood can merge in our veins, strengthening all of us Christians so that we can continue to bring the Good News to all creation. That our faith is always shared and NEVER tasted selfishly. All this we ask Thee, O Heavenly Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, amen!
