Second Reading (Ap 12,1.5.13a.15-16a)
Reading the Book of Revelation of St. John

1Apareceu a great sign in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 5E she gave birth to a son, who came to rule all nations with a rod of iron. But the son was taken up to God and to his throne.
13aQuando saw that he had been exiled to earth, the dragon began to pursue the woman who had given birth to the boy.
15A snake then spewed water like a river after the woman, in order to submerge. 16aA land, however, came to the rescue of the woman.

GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN, CHAPTER 2, 1-11

At that time, 1houve a wedding at Cana in Galilee. The mother of Jesus was there. 2Também Jesus and his disciples had been invited to the wedding. 3Como wine has ceased to exist, the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine."
4Jesus answered her, "Woman, why do you say this to me? My hour has not yet come. "
5Sua mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."
6Estavam placed six stone water jars there for Jewish purification usually do. In each of them could fit more or less one hundred liters.
7Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water." Filled them to the brim. 8Jesus said: "Now put away and take it to the master of ceremonies." And they took. 9The master of ceremonies tasted the water that had become wine. He did not know where it came from, but the servants knew, because it was they who had drawn the water.
10The master of ceremonies then called the bridegroom and said to him, "Everyone serves the good wine first, and when the guests have drunk freely, serves the good wine less. But you have kept the good wine until now! "
11Este was the beginning of the signs of Jesus. He performed in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory, and his disciples believed on him

A. BIGCUORE´S  REFLECTION: The wedding symbolizes the UNION of God with humanity. Jews used the jars for purification rituals and they symbolized the Old Covenant.
JESUS is the NEW WINE, based on the new IN FAITH society. IN HOPE and LOVE; therefore, without the shackles of the Mosaic law that stifled the people, especially the most disadvantaged and poor of society.
He breaks the paradigms of the Jewish religion. He gives signs when he says to his Mother Mary, that "his hour had not yet come." He was pre-announcing what would go further. (Life, passion, death and resurrection).

What does a wedding ?. Bride, groom, guests, food, drink and much joy. Generally, at least today, a lot of music washed down. So the Kingdom of God, the Master was beginning to remodel on a new basis, this feature had a lot of faith, hope and joy and break those "rigid and impractical standards" that Jews imposed on the people to enslave him.
JESUS IS THE NEW, GOOD and DELICIOUS WINE guests to surprenderam to ask the master room because they served the best wine at the end of the feast, when the usual is serving him in the beginning?

GROUPS OF REFLECTION: SEE, JUDGE AND ACT. (Lectio Divina). My brothers and my sisters, as we reflect on it with the following questions: 1 what the text tells us Christians today? 2-how to our community is ensuring the safekeeping of that wine? 3 as she is serving this new wine? 4 is that we as a Christian community, we are SHARING this New Wine to the whole People of God? (this new wine can also symbolize the constant New Testament in the Holy Scriptures.'s old wine is Old Testament).
