Proclamation of the Gospel (Mk 12.38 to 44)
At that time Jesus said in his teaching to a large crowd: "Beware of the scribes! They love to go in gorgeous robes, to be greeted in the marketplaces; like the chief seats in the synagogues and the best places at feasts. They devour widows' houses, pretending to make long prayers. So they will receive the worst condemnation. "
Jesus was sitting in the Temple, on the vault of the alms, and beheld how the people deposited their coins in the safe. Many rich people put in large sums.
Then came a poor widow who gave two mites, which were worth almost nothing.Jesus called his disciples and said, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all the others who offered alms. Everyone gave what they had to spare, while she, from her poverty, has offered everything she had to live. "--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------LECTIO DIVINE - God always sees people's hearts. Even today there are people who do charity for the sake of conscience. Jesus draws the attention of the disciples, saying the coin that the widow gave was worth much more than all the money in the temple. Because? Because he gave what was missing and the "lawyers", gave the left over them.
Who SHARES with authenticity, it is worth much more than simply accumulating wealth. Jesus teaches that happiness is in sharing. Love is simple. Malignant complicated and turned his head above all of modern man.
Be humble. Live simply (even having enough goods) and share, this is the way that Jesus teaches us to be truly happy, even in this life!A holy and happy Sunday to all (the)! Grace, peace and joy in their hearts!
