Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me (Jn 14,6).

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke.

Whenever he was on his way to Jerusalem, he went through and taught cities and towns.

23 Someone asked him, "Lord, are few men saved?" He replied:
24 "Seek to enter in at the narrow gate: for I say unto you, many will seek to enter in, and will not succeed.

25When the householder has come in and shut the door, and you outside begin to knock on the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us,' he will answer, 'I tell you, I don't know where you are from.' .
Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you and you taught in our squares.'

27He will say to you, 'I do not know where you are from; depart from me, all ye evildoers. '
28There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the Kingdom of God, and you are cast out.
29 They shall come from east and west, north and south, and shall sit at the table in the kingdom of God.
30The last will be the first, and the first will be the last. "(1)
Word of salvation. Thank God!

A. BIGCUORE´S REFLECTION. Prosperity theology is always teaching people that by accepting Jesus, you are already saved. Finger mistake!

This Sunday's liturgy gospel (25.08.19) bears the warning of the Master Jesus that it is imperative to “go in through the narrow door” in order to gain heaven.

The correct dimension advocated by the Magisterium of the Catholic Christian Church is that, in order to be disciples of the Master, one must "renounce himself, take up his daily cross and follow him." It is the narrow door that Evangelist Luke proposes for this Sunday.

Following Jesus implies facing various challenges. The Christian is tested daily, but he knows that God is with us and NEVER forsakes us.
Those who walk in communion with the Church, receive the sacraments of reconciliation at least every three months, and commune every Sunday, will find the strength to face the tribulations that life offers us daily.

Another very important thing: PRAYER! The bread of the word !. The Christian, the name of this name, must eat the bread of God's word contained in the Holy Scriptures daily, just as we eat the material bread for the sustenance of our bodies. By doing so, we will be able to cope with all existential turmoil.
