GOSPEL SECOND LUCAS, 9, 28-36
9 After eight days, Jesus took Peter, James, and John with him, and went up to the mountain to pray.
29 And as he prayed, his face changed, and his garments became white.
30 And, behold, they spake unto him two characters: they were Moses and Elijah,
31 who appeared in glory, and spoke of his death, which was to be fulfilled in Jerusalem.
32 But Peter and his companions were overpowered by sleep; upon awakening, saw the glory of Jesus and the two characters in his company.
33 When they departed from Jesus, Peter said, "Master, it is good for us to be here. We can raise three tents: one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah! "He did not know what he was saying.
34 While he was still speaking, a cloud came and covered them with his shadow; and the disciples, seeing them disappear in the cloud, were greatly terrified.
35 And out of the cloud came a voice, saying, This is my beloved Son; I heard you! "
36 And while this voice was still resounding, Jesus was alone. The disciples were silent and told no one in those days any of what they had seen.
Word of Salvation.

A. BIGCUORE´S REFLECTION:
Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful passages of the holy Gospel. Jesus plays the PRE-FIGURE of his resurrection! It appears to them in an ineffable way, with a transfigured body (as it is deduced); a glorified body, just like that in the Resurrection, appears to Mary Magdalene.
It is the text that recalls the Covenants that God makes with humanity. The first is in the Old Testament, with Moses, Abraham, etc. In the New Testament it involves the person of the Master Jesus, the Son of God the Father, who came to rescue us from all sin and to initiate in the so-called KINGDOM OF GOD.
Pedro was astonished. I did not understand anything that was happening. They were in awe !.
There is also something interesting in the text. Moses and Elijah represent the Old Testament. Moses the Torah (Pentateuch of the Jews,) and Elijah the prophets; Peter, James and John, the New Testament, especially the Protagonist of all this story: Jesus Christ, Son of David.
In this fact is clear the watershed. He is BIGGER than Moses and all the prophets, represented in the text by the prophet Elijah, who also performed wonders in his time.

LECTIO DIVINA.
Pedro was in the "comfort zone" and wanted to build three tents to stay there, because it should be very pleasant next to the Master.
Question: And we Christians, these days, how do we get out of our comfort zone? Of our ritualistic, bureaucratic religion, our individualistic spirituality?
Let's take this Lenten Time to review our lives. Check if we really are having CHRISTIAN ATTITUDES in our day to day life. If we are giving GOOD EXAMPLE, in the family, at work and at school.
Lent is time for conversion !. Whatever, life change for the better!
