JESUS, the Master of all masters, when asked by Peter, his
chief disciple, how many times he should forgive, if seven times seven, the
Master replied: "I do not tell you until seven times, but up to seventy
times seven. "
The seven for the Jews is a perfect and infinite number!
Imagine you, reader, seventy times seven (not four hundred and ninety, as we
think in Portuguese). It was an infinite number!
This uttered from the mouth of the Master of all teachers,
Jesus!
You reader must be thinking ... but this is very difficult,
especially in the days today.
But this is a challenge! But therein lies the merit for the
one who forgives. Conquer the gold medal in the spiritual life championship !.
FORGIVE IS NEED! Above all, for the sake of intelligence.
For it is scientifically proven that sorrow, anger, hatred, resentment, and
unforgiveness are behind a hundred psychosomatic illnesses.
FORGIVEN IS HEALTH PROFIT !. Forgive my brother and sister,
as many times as necessary, but forgive with your heart and not your mouth out!
If you have trouble forgiving, ask God to give you this grace. You will see
that in time you will be able to forgive with the heart and you will feel a
sense of peace and liberation, incredible!
Make the experience my brother and my sister. Plant
forgiveness in your heart; act with the water of mercy and with the blood of
the Lamb.
By doing so, you will be accumulating portentous dividends
in your heavenly savings.
The more you forgive, the more free you become !. Inner
liberation, the most delicious sensation that exists for the inner dynamics
(din) of a person. The word forgive in Latin, PER + DOAR, means to get rid of
all that is heavy, bad; get rid of the burden we carry on our backs and our
hearts. On the other hand, it is GIVING what you have good for each other. In
the case on screen, it is to forgive the offenses that eventually someone
caused you. Get the experience!
All this is called EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE,
which the Master of all teachers, Jesus, proclaims to us in his gospels.
The book of Ecclesiasticus says, with great wisdom, article
28, verses 1 to 5: "Whoever takes vengeance will suffer the vengeance of
the Lord, who will severely ask him for an account of his sins."
"Forgive the injustice your neighbor has committed and,
at your request, God will also forgive the sins you have committed. If a man
holds a grudge against another, how can he ask God to heal him? If you do not
use mercy on your neighbor, how dare you ask for forgiveness of your own sins?
If he, who is flesh, holds a grudge, who will forgive his sins? "
Wise words from the Bible !. No need to add anything !.

Today, in the Catholic liturgical calendar, tomorrow begins
Lent, a special time of conversion, forgiveness, fasting, reconciliation and
joy as well. It is not a time, as the ancients said, of sadness, closed face,
bad mood. It is of joy yes, without losing its real sense of life change. Get
out of a life of addictions to a life of virtues!
It is a time to think about our relationship with God,
our neighbor and nature.
I suggest some practical things we can do to please God. To
fast for "gossip", cigarette, coffee, chocolate, soap operas,
television, cell phone, internet (even one day a week), drink, finally,
consciously renounce something we like very much , and offer this SACRIFICE to
God, in reparation for the sins committed by mankind to His Most Sacred Heart;
it is an act of love, of faith, of reconciliation!
I remembered now the Prophet Isaiah, chapter 58, verses 6 to
8, says: "The fast that I want is this: to put away the unjust prisons, to
undo the chains of yoke, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, and to
break every yoke; to share the food with the hungry, to shelter the homeless in
the house, to clothe the naked, and not to shut his own people. If you do this,
your light will shine like AURORA, your wounds will heal quickly, the
righteousness you practice will go before you and the glory of Yahweh will come
with you. " ( 1 )
The prophet said this more or less in the years 740-734,
during the reign of John, and to this day, we Christians have not yet been able
to put all this into practice in the day to day of our lives.
As you can see, it is a very propitious text to reflect
during this Lent, which began on the last Wednesday, 22.02.2012.
St. Paul the Apostle tells us that "charity is the bond
of perfection". Without charity, my brethren and my sisters in Christ, we
do not come to Eternity!
So long ago the Prophet said these wonderful words that,
Jesus came to ratify by his passage through this land, in a brilliant way. But,
human hearts seem far from God! They want to be happy alone, by their own
strength. Ledo mistake !. Without God and charity, there is no true happiness.
IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BE HAPPY
ALONE!
The true fast is this which the Prophet Isaiah said well!
Let us reflect on this and try to put them into practice!
May the blessings of the Almighty God descend upon you, upon
your family, upon your profitable business, He who is Father, Son and Holy
Spirit, Amen !!!
