Gospel according to Mark, chapter 15.1-39, which will be proclaimed this Palm Sunday.
“After carrying out the Lenten journey in Community and in our families, we now enter the mystery of Christ's surrender for our love and for our salvation. With Him we walk fearlessly to Calvario, for we are sure of the resurrection. In the radical option of his love-service, love-surrender and faithfulness to the end, we can carry our cross and reach the fullness of life. ” ( 1 )

REFLECTION BY A. BIGCUORE. Jesus is then condemned to death and before going through a whole process of suffering and scourging determined by Pilate that "washes his hands". It is important to note that Pilate's wife liked Jesus and was touched by her messages. But, unfortunately, politicians are always afraid of the people and so as not to conflict with them, they decided to hand Jesus over to their executioners.
In verse 34, of the Gospel according to Luke23, when he was crucified beside two thieves, the so-called good and bad thieves, Jesus pronounced the most spectacular phrase in the Gospel of Luke, when he says: “FATHER, FORGIVE THEM: YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY DO ”.
The feeling of Jesus' COMPASSION towards his executioners is clearly noticeable. Even on the cross, after being cruelly scourged, He FORGIVES his enemies !!! That is the essence of Christianity: forgive and be forgiven!
FORGIVENESS IS THE MOST SUBLIME WAY TO LOVE !!!
Jesus says to the good thief: "Truly I say to you, TODAY you will be with me in Paradise" (verse 43).
The good thief rebukes the bad thief for his ironic words against Jesus, saying: “As for us, it is of justice; we are paying for our actions; but he did no harm. ”(v. 41)
My brothers and sisters in Christ, the legacy of Master JESUS is to be imitated by all of us Christians. Jesus gave us his example. He was always consistent with the mission that Heavenly Father entrusted to him: he became incarnate in the Virgin Mary, became a man and spread the message of LOVE that almost all of humanity knows.
The Pharisees and doctors of the Law, thought that Jesus longed for power. Ledo mistake. Jesus' message is essentially a message of Love. God's love is completely free! This is the great difference in relation to human love. The Israeli power elite did not understand it that way and was afraid of losing their privileges!
"Do to others what you want them to do to you". Love your enemies. If you love only those who love you, what merit is there in that? Even pagans do so.
We have, on a daily basis, to try to be better people, who love people who think differently from us; we must be TOLERANT to our fellow men. The individual attitude of each Christian CHANGES THE WORLD, above all, in these pandemic times. Let's think about it, then !.

DOMINGO DE RAMOS. ENTRADA TRIUNFAL DE JESUS EM JERUSALÉM

Evangelho segundo Marcos, capitulo 15,1-39, que será proclamado neste domingo de Ramos.
“Depois de realizarmos, em Comunidade e em nossas famílias, a caminhada quaresmal, adentramos agora no mistério da entrega de Cristo por nosso amor e para a nossa salvação. Com Ele caminhamos destemidamente para o Calvario, pois temos a certeza da ressurreição. Na opção radical de seu amor-serviço, amor-entrega e fidelidade ate o fim, podemos carregar nossa cruz e alcançar a plenitude da vida.” ( 1 )

REFLEXÃO DE A. BIGCUORE. Jesus então é condenado à morte e antes passa por todo um processo de sofrimento e flagelação determinado por Pilatos que “lava as mãos”. É importante ressaltar que a esposa de Pilatos gostava de Jesus e se sensibilizou com as suas mensagens. Mas, infelizmente, os políticos sempre têm medo do povo e para não conflitar com ele, resolveu entregar Jesus nas mãos de seus algozes.
No versículo 34, do Evangelho segundo Lucas23, ao ser crucificado ao lado de dois ladrões, os chamados bom e mau ladrão, Jesus pronunciava a frase mais espetacular do Evangelho de Lucas, quando diz: “PAI, PERDOA-LHES: NÃO SABEM O QUE FAZEM”.
Nota-se claramente o sentimento de COMPAIXÃO de Jesus para com seus algozes. Até na cruz, depois de ter sido flagelado cruelmente, Ele PERDOA os seus inimigos!!! Essa é a essência do Cristianismo: perdoar e ser perdoado!
O PERDÃO É A FORMA MAIS SUBLIME DE AMAR!!!
Jesus diz ao bom ladrão: “Em verdade eu te digo, HOJE estarás comigo no Paraíso”(versículo 43).
O bom ladrão repreende o mau ladrão pelas suas palavras irônicas contra Jesus, dizendo: “quanto a nós é de justiça; estamos pagando por nossos atos; mas ele não fez nenhum mal”.(v. 41)
Meus irmãos e irmãs em Cristo, o legado do Mestre JESUS é para ser imitado por todos nós cristãos. Jesus nos deu seu exemplo. Sempre foi coerente com a missão que o Pai Celestial, lhe confiou: se encarnou no seio na Virgem Maria, se fez homem e difundiu a mensagem de AMOR que quase toda a humanidade conhece.
Os fariseus e doutores da Lei, pensavam que Jesus almejava o poder. Ledo engano. A mensagem de Jesus é uma mensagem essencialmente de Amor. O amor de Deus é totalmente gratuito! Eis, o grande diferencial em relação ao amor humano. A elite do poder de Israel, não entendeu assim e ficou com medo de perder os seus privilégios!
“Fazei aos outros o que quiserdes que eles vos façam”. Amem seus inimigos. Se vocês amarem somente aqueles que vos amam, que mérito há nisso?. Até os pagãos assim o fazem.
Temos, no dia a dia, de procurar sermos pessoas melhores, que amam as pessoas que pensam diferente de nós; devemos ser TOLERANTES para com os nossos semelhantes. A atitude individual de cada cristão MUDA O MUNDO, sobretudo, nestes tempos de pandemia. Pensemos, nisso, pois!.
Bênçãos de saúde, paz, prosperidade, harmonia e muita alegria em seus corações e de seus familiares!. Shalom!.
