At that time, the publicans and sinners drew near to Jesus to listen. But the Pharisees and the scribes criticized Jesus. 'This man welcomes sinners and makes meal with them.' Then Jesus told them this parable: "A man had two sons. The younger son said to his father, 'Father, give me the share of property that falls to me.' And the father divided the property between them. A few days later, the younger son joined what was his and went to a distant place.And there squandered all in riotous living. When he had spent all he had, there was a severe famine in that country, and he began to be. So was asking job to a man's place, who sent him to his field take care of the pigs. The boy wanted to kill hunger with the food that the pigs were eating, but even this gave him.
Then he came to his senses and said, 'How many of my father's have bread in abundance, and here I am starving. I'm leaving, I'm going back to my father and say to him, `Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; no longer deserve to be called your son. Treat me like one of your hired men. ' Then he left and returned to his father. When he was away, his father saw him and felt compassion. He ran to meet him, embraced him, and covered him with kisses. The son then told him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
I no longer deserve to be called your son. ' But the father said to his servants, 'Bring forth the best robe to wear my son. And set a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring a fat calf and kill it. Let's have a feast. For this my son was dead and is alive; I was lost and is found. ' And they began to party. The elder son was in the field. Coming back, toward the house, he heard music and dancing noise. So he called one of the servants and asked what was going on.
The servant replied: 'It's your brother who returned. Your father has killed the fattened calf because he recovered with health '. But he became angry and refused to go. The father went out and pleaded with him. But he answered his father, 'I work for you for so many years, I never disobeyed any your order. And you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. When reached this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes, kill for him the fatted calf. ' Then the father said, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive; He was lost, and is found. '

A. BIGCUORE´S REFLECTION - LECTIO DIVINE. We are facing one of the most beautiful parables of the Holy Gospel. The parable of the prodigal son. Jesus has the youngest son demands his share of the estate that fits you. And so the Father did. He (son) part to the world and spend all prostitutes and orgies.
As reckless spent everything he had. Later, there was a great famine in the region, causing him to try to get a job. And the one who gave him was to feed pigs. No food gave him. He had to be subjected to eat the scraps that fall from pigs.
Hence "the plug falls" and he remembered the Father's house, where he had the good and the best and made the decision to return. He thought: "Father I have sinned against you and no longer deserve to be called your son", so to tell your father when he arrived. No sooner said than done. He returns repentant and the Father welcomes him with great affection and love. The Father had SON OF HIS COMPASSION THAT WAS LOST and prepared a great feast to celebrate the return of the son who was lost.
The older brother was with the Father attitude of envy and complained to him. I told him the Father: "Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and was found. "My brothers and sisters in Christ, we all have a bit of "prodigal son". But what comforts us is that COMPASSION God is infinite! He is always with open arms to welcome us; to welcome the repentant sinner.
The most important for us Catholic Christians, especially this Lent, we make a good confession, fasting, prayer and charitable practices. Lent is a special time of CONVERSION. It is a propitious time to give a swing in our spiritual and moral life. You decide to be better. It is life changing !. It is time to FORGIVENESS and RECONCILIATION!Holy Sunday to all (the). blessings of health, peace, prosperity and joy in their hearts!
