"12Yet have many things to say, but now you would not be able to afford. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth, He will not speak on his own behalf, but say what you heard and announce to you the things that will happen. 14th Spirit of Truth manifest my glory, because he will take from what is mine and interpret for you. 15All that belongs to the Father is mine. That's why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and interpret for you. "(Word of the Lord, thank God!) (1)
BigCuore`s Reflection: My brothers and my sisters in Christ, good morning! First of all, we must remember that today, the Christian Catholic Church celebrates the mystery of the Trinity. God Creator Father, God the Son, Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Word and the Holy Spirit the Paraclete, the Sanctifier.
Our human reason is incapable of understanding this mystery. But Jesus in the Gospel of John makes clear the existence of the Trinitarian community of Love, which is God himself.Jesus reveals itself throughout history to his Disciples. By today's text, he prepares the "spirit" of the Disciples for the coming of the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete. The Greek word Paraclete means Lawyer, Defender etc.. He who inspired and continues to inspire and guide the Holy Church of Christ. Without the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (celebrated last Sunday), the Disciples would be UNABLE to continue evangelizing mission of the Church given by Jesus Christ.
Therefore, the Master warns them that they were not ready to receive the Paraclete. Note that he speaks in the Spirit OF truth. He does not say the truth, but the Truth. The preposition OF makes clear that there is ONE SPIRIT, who is the Truth, that is, the very Spirit of Jesus Christ. There is one that liberates, heals and brings us true happiness!. We bring Him forever in our hearts because He is the only truly frees!.
Belo baptism we receive the GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (wisdom, intelligence, science, fortitude, counsel, piety and fear of God) that sanctifies us, gives us strength, courage, enlightenment, and enthusiasm to preach the Word of God to all the creature. "Go and Evangelize the world. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, what you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. "
Jesus said these words, before his ascension to heaven, imputing his disciples the responsability to continue its mission. And she is also directed to all of us Christians today (2-13). The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus. Let us pray to Him every day, so we can have strength to face everyday troubles. Amen! Holy and happy Sunday to everyone!
PRAYER: Come Holy Spirit, enlighten, sanctify and enlighten us of all we have to do in our lives. Come Holy Spirit, quicken us, make us creatures RENEWED by the fire of Thy love. Renews us, restores us, heals us and makes us new creatures! Amen.
