Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke
11 1One day, in a certain place, Jesus was praying. Finishing the prayer, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples."

2Then he said to them, "When you pray, say, Father, hallowed be your name; come your kingdom;
3 Give us today the bread necessary for our sustenance;
4 Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive those who trespass against us. and lead us not into temptation. "

5 Then he said, If any of you have a friend and come to him at midnight and say to him, "Friend, lend me three loaves,
6Then a friend of mine has just come home from a trip, and I have nothing to offer him;
7and if he answers from within, 'Do not trouble me; the door is already closed, my children and I are lying down; I cannot rise to give you the loaves';

8I tell you, if he does not get up to give her bread because he is his friend, surely because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needs.
9And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it will open to you.
10For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and whosoever knocks shall be opened to him.

11If a son asks for a bread, which father among you will give him a stone? If he asks for a fish, will he give him a snake?
12Or if he asks for an egg, will he give him a scorpion?
13If ye then, being evil, know how to give good things to your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him. "

A. BIGCUORE´S REFLECTION. In the liturgy of tomorrow, in all the catholic Christian churches, they reflect on the only Prayer that Jesus teaches to the Disciples: The Prayer of the Our Father !!!

Even beautiful prayer can be considered ecumenical, because even the Spiritists pray it.

Jesus speaks of material bread as well as the "bread of deliverance" whose leaven is FORGIVENESS!

Forgiveness is a sine qua non condition to enter heaven!
"Who loves forgiveness. Who forgives loves," as my friend Maria Gabriela Alves says in one of her pamphlets about forgiveness.

Jesus addresses the God the Creator Father. In the Gospel of John chapter 16, verses 23/24 says: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it unto you. So far you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be perfect. ” (2) (my emphasis).

Ask also "our daily bread" to every human being! By the way, by God's will, no HUMAN should starve, after all, the earth is a gift from God to everyone !!!. There are no “landowners” but only “tenants”. !!!

We often forget the Father. But, in fact, Jesus makes it very clear that before beginning any request to God, it should be addressed to the Father in his name!
In my prayers I have a habit of doing this. I always turn to Heavenly Father in the name of his Son Jesus Christ.

PRAYER READING: Have we today shared the bread of the word, the material bread and the bread of forgiveness to our fellow men?
Or do we have an INDIVIDUALIST FAITH without worrying about the "other"?
Let us not forget that Christianity is SHARING, COMMUNION!
Individualistic faith does NOT SAVE anyone !. It is the life always shared that brings us love, friendship and solidarity.
Let us reflect on this!
Blessings of health, peace and joy in your hearts! Happy and Holy Sunday to all !!!
