Very Much Love Who Forgive

Proclamation of the Gospel (Lk 7.36 to 8.3)
 A. BIGCUORE´S REFLECTION: Does the present text of Luke says that Jesus receives an invitation to go up to the house of a Pharisee. And when there comes a woman regarded as "sinful", he shoots his feet crying and begins to bathe them with her tears and wiped them with the hair. The Pharisee was scandalized by such a scene, because, according to their laws 613, it was a sinful woman. Jesus then saw his hypocritical act, and that is great pedagogue, tells him a parable of the creditor and two debtors.

Simon, a creditor had two debtors, the one owed five hundred silver coins and the other 50. As they did not have to pay, the lender forgave their debts. Who do you think loved more?Promptly replied, who was pardoned in 500 silver coins!Jesus said you thought well. VERY MUCH LOVE WHO FORGIVE !. So that the sins of this woman, were all forgiven, because she has shown great love when I came here.

In the illustration guide, we stress that woman in Jesus' time and even before He was marginalized, a simple slave. It has always been seen by the Jews, especially the Pharisees, as an occasion of sin. And thus it should be avoided. When she gave birth, it was 40 days unclean and could not enter the temple, much less be played. Who touched, was unclean! Gasp! When her period is seven days without going to the temple and so on.

As the Torah (or Pentateuch), there were 613 laws to be met. Religion was an essentially ritualistic religion. There are still, rituals for everything. It was a religion that instead of RELEASED people, she enslaved to their standards. The Pharisees used such laws to oppress, especially the weakest. So given this reality, Jesus breaks paradigms. He sees beyond human appearances !.

His heart is infinitely merciful !. He realized the affection and love that woman, he welcomes it with tenderness and is moved in front of her. And he says, his sins are forgiven!Unfortunately, the woman, even today (2016), in Brazil and in the world, STILL suffer prejudice and discrimination.

The true disciple of Jesus' attitude, is never judge, but welcome, not least because we are all sinners !. Let us put aside our prejudices and we start to see the "other" or "other", with the eyes of Jesus, which are, in the eyes of love and MERCY!

Descend upon you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, the blessing of God who is all powerful and Amoroso, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen !.A happy and holy Sunday to all (the)!
